The signature ICLIC mechanism holds the rear retainer open, so engagement is a simple step-down rather than a snap against spring tension. Underfoot, a 725 mm² platform spreads load for confident tracking when you’re out of the saddle.

Power transfer & stability

Compared with TIME’s earlier XPRESSO, the XPRO platform increases usable contact area to help convert steady torque into forward speed, especially during high-force efforts. A low 14.7 mm stack height keeps your shoe close to the axle for a planted, efficient feel.

Engagement, float & release

The ICLIC system pairs with ICLIC free-float cleats to provide ±5° angular float and ±1.25 mm lateral float, easing knee alignment over long rides. Release is predictable at 16°, and a carbon blade offers three tension settings so you can tailor entry/exit force.
