Small parts carry safety.

Small brake parts deserve more respect than their size suggests. Springs, bolts, adapters, olives, barbs, fittings, pad hardware, and retaining clips often determine whether a service is safe. Reusing or substituting small pieces because they look minor can create leaks, rubbing, poor alignment, or failure. Brake systems are specific: thread pitch, hose fitting, caliper mount, adapter orientation, and pad retention must match. Keep old parts only when you know what they are, and label them carefully. If a brake job depends on a tiny fitting you cannot identify, pause and ask.
