Speed needs familiarity.

CO2 is fast, compact, and simple once understood. Cartridge size, valve technique, and the difference between an emergency fill and a long-term pressure solution all matter. A cartridge fired before the tyre is seated is gone for good, and the wrong thread type is no help at the roadside. CO2 can leak down faster than ordinary air, so check pressure again after the ride. Practise with an old tube or wheel at home. If calm matters more than speed, a mini pump may be the better primary tool.
