It’s part of Goodyear’s Zipp Fitment Series, tuned for Zipp hookless rims with 23 mm internal width—especially 404 Firecrest and 454 NSW.
Yes. It’s a Tubeless Complete tire with a Dual-Angle bead, intended for Zipp’s TSS hookless rims (see Zipp’s compatibility guide).
Maximum recommended pressure is 73 psi / 5.0 bar on straight-side (hookless) systems. Always follow the lower of the rim or tire max.
It’s designed to measure about 29 mm on Zipp’s 23 mm-internal TSS rims.
R:Shield puncture belt, 180 TPI short-ply casing and Dynamic:UHP compound for speed, grip and durability.
Zipp Goodyear Eagle F1 R Z29 Aero is the Goodyear road tire engineered in collaboration with Zipp to maximize aero and rolling performance on Zipp’s 23 mm internal hookless rims. The casing plies, tread cap and sidewall profile are sized specifically for popular Zipp wheelsets like 404 Firecrest and 454 NSW, creating a smooth tire-to-rim transition and low, real-world drag.
Part of Goodyear’s Fitment Series for Zipp, this model is designed to measure close to its label on Zipp’s TSS (Total System Stability) rims. The sculpted Aero Lip sidewall helps the airflow stay attached at the rim–tire junction for speed and stability at yaw.
Dynamic:UHP rubber balances low rolling resistance with wet/dry grip. Underneath, a 180 TPI short-ply construction reduces overlapping material under the tread so the casing can flex freely, while a R:Shield breaker adds puncture protection without making the sidewalls wooden.
The tire uses Tubeless Complete construction and a Dual-Angle bead for reliable air retention and easy setup on Zipp hookless rims. Maximum pressure is 73 psi / 5.0 bar on straight-side (hookless) systems; follow Zipp/Goodyear guidance and default to the lower stated max when rim and tire differ.
Available as 700×29 only in this Zipp-specific Eagle F1 R format, with a listed weight around 270 g. Intended for fast road and race use where you want modern 28–30 mm class speed with optimized aero on Zipp’s 23 mm internal rims.
