  • Model: FC-RED-1W-E1 (power meter version available separately)
  • Chainline: 47.5 mm • Spindle: DUB (Road WIDE DUB BB compatibility)
  • Chainring mount: 8-bolt Direct Mount • Chainring sizes: 38–46T
  • Crank lengths: 150–175 mm
  • Speeds: Compatibility for 12 & 13-speed systems

Overview

The SRAM RED XPLR Crankset (E1) brings SRAM’s lightest RED-level carbon crank platform to gravel. SRAM’s product positioning emphasizes maximum tire clearance—a key requirement for modern gravel frames—and pairs the hollow carbon arms with a direct-mount 1x chainring so you can spec gearing to match your terrain. SRAM also added a 160 mm crank length option to broaden fit choices.

Fit, chainline & bottom bracket standard

This crank is a Road Wide configuration with a published 47.5 mm chainline, using SRAM’s DUB spindle interface. SRAM specifies compatibility with all SRAM Road WIDE DUB bottom brackets, which is the standard pairing for modern gravel frames designed around wider chainlines.

Chainring system & gearing options

SRAM lists the RED XPLR crank as an 8-bolt direct mount system. Official specs list chainring sizes from 38T through 46T, with 48T and 50T also shown in the SRAM service spec table. The crank is specified for SRAM’s current 1x road/gravel ecosystem, and SRAM lists speed compatibility for 12- and 13-speed builds in the model/spec sheets.

Power meter option

If you want power, SRAM sells a dedicated RED XPLR AXS power meter crankset variant in the same family (spider-based system) as a separate model. That allows you to choose standard crankarms or spec power from the start depending on your build goals.
