CASTELLI Fly Direct Vest

Packable Lightweight Thermal Vest

The Castelli Fly Direct Vest combines super-lightweight construction with Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation to create an amazingly warm vest. Its lightweight overall construction means that if the temperature changes it can be easily stashed in a pocket or frame bag.

To create this piece, Castelli started with an ultralightweight windproof shell that is DWR treated in case you encounter wet roads or a quick rain shower. Then Castelli paired the shell with Polartec® Alpha® Direct insulation, which is unbelievably warm and breathable for its weight.

On the front Castelli used a top- and bottom-opening YKK® Vislon® zipper that's easy sliding for convenient temperature regulation if the intensity starts to tick up. On the back are three pockets for storage to make sure you can carry whatever you might need. Finally, Castelli added reflectivity at the waist for visibility. Altogether, this makes the Fly Direct Vest the go-to vest when weight, warmth, and packability are important.
