Its patented Sawtooth rim design, combined with Hyperfoil nodes and HexFin ABLC dimples, optimizes airflow to maintain stability in crosswinds while the deep rim profile preserves momentum on flat and rolling terrain. The 23 mm internal rim width supports wider, lower-pressure road tires to reduce aerodynamic drag, rolling resistance, and vibration losses, following Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE) philosophy.

Rim & Tire System

This generation features a tubeless-only, hookless carbon rim requiring a minimum tire size of 28 mm. Zipp recommends tire pressures near 72–73 psi (5 bar) for 28 mm tires, with lower maximum pressures for wider tires to enhance comfort, grip, and efficiency.

Drive & Braking

The rear hub is Zipp's premium ZR1 SL Center-Lock (12×142 mm) with quick 66-point engagement and ceramic bearings. Freehub driver bodies are available for XDR and SRAM/Shimano systems, with Campagnolo bodies sold separately. Braking is rotor-based only, with no rim brake track.
