Nomad Notes
Power is useful when interpreted.
A power meter measures effort; it does not interpret the ride for you. Used well, power helps with pacing, training consistency, and understanding fatigue over time. Without context, the numbers can become more frustrating than useful. Accuracy, calibration habits, consistent zones, and a plan for using the data matter as much as the device. Compatibility also reaches across crank, pedal, bottom bracket, and head unit systems. If structured training is new, heart rate, perceived effort, or coaching guidance may come first.
