The Zipp Goodyear Eagle F1 R Z29 Aero is a road tire developed in collaboration between Goodyear and Zipp to optimize aerodynamic performance and rolling efficiency on Zipp’s 23 mm internal hookless rims, such as the 404 Firecrest and 454 NSW models. Its casing plies, tread cap, and sidewall profile are precisely sized to create a smooth tire-to-rim transition that reduces drag in real-world conditions.

Aero & Fitment on Zipp Wheels

Part of Goodyear’s Fitment Series for Zipp, this tire is designed to measure close to its labeled size on Zipp’s Total System Stability (TSS) rims. The sculpted Aero Lip sidewall helps maintain airflow attachment at the rim–tire junction, enhancing speed and stability at yaw angles.

Compound & Casing

The Dynamic:UHP rubber compound balances low rolling resistance with reliable wet and dry grip. The 180 TPI short-ply casing reduces overlapping material under the tread, allowing the casing to flex freely. A R:Shield breaker layer provides puncture protection without stiffening the sidewalls.

Tubeless System & Pressures

Featuring Tubeless Complete construction and a Dual-Angle bead, the tire offers reliable air retention and easy setup on Zipp hookless rims. Maximum recommended pressure is 73 psi (5.0 bar) on straight-side hookless systems; users should follow Zipp and Goodyear guidance and default to the lower stated maximum when rim and tire specifications differ.

Available exclusively in 700×29 size, this tire weighs approximately 270 grams and is intended for fast road and race use where riders want modern 28–30 mm class speed combined with optimized aero performance on Zipp’s 23 mm internal rims.
